The Challenge

How can we create an oline presence thats tunnels users to gain more plays on spotify?
— Elevatedxconscience, Artist

The challenge for this design was to create a responsive website to better serve Elevatedxconscience fanbase. Elevatedxconscience also known as Movin wanted to launch an online responsive web site where users of all devices can navigate to his website and view/ follow his latest music releases.

Solution

My approach to the problem was to work with my client and gain insight on how he would like users to behave on his website. Our scope of the project was to design the entire responsive website for users to view a release, and subscribe via Soundcloud as his main source of promotion.

Competitive analysis

After meeting with Movin, we collaborated on who his favorite artists would be to pull inspiration. 2 artists that stuck in mind with me were Anders, and Travis Scott. I pulled these two artists from the group that were mentioned because they had an online pressence, and also had a very straight forward approach to gaining music momentum.

Logo Design

Freedom and flexibility

During the logo design phase, Movin was very flexible on his logo design. With that in mind, it was time for me to start designing.

Elevatedxconscience is a music entrepreneur, who loves dark colors, edgy type faces, and melodic color combinations. Coming up with the final design, I used a dark background to represent edgy, display typefaces because they work great with logos, and color contrasts and flare to give the readers visual hierarchy when looking at the logo.
